Review: The psp could easily be one of the best electronic devices in ages if it was not so difficult adding content to it. You are also limited by the firmware updates that come on some games. I had modified mine with some calssic games that were freeware, but once I loaded a new game, the firmware disallowed the use of this capability. This way, you have to buy all the games for it.
Pros: Item has great potential. Great wireless capability, decent inerface, good games.
Cons: Takes too much tinkering to use some of the functions. No way to connect TV. Not many movies available, even less quality games.

Review: Very good handheld system, it has a huge screen withg reat colour. On the other hand it tends to have pixels burning out at times, sony warrenties it with a shipping charge. Very versatile system but lacking assortment of games.
Pros: Big Colourfull screen

Review: The psp is a good handheld system, it has all the feautures a person would love. However, the battery life is way too short, UMD prices are quite expensive, and there's not a great game selection. It's also kinda bulky. It doesn't fit comfortably in any pockets. It's too long.Alsoit scratches way too easily.
Pros: Mp3
WMA
UMD Movies
Games
Internet
Crystal Clear Screen
Cons: Sound
Battery Life

Review: I'm gonna give this an overall rating of 4 stars. I bought my psp when it was first on the shelves and they didn't have many movies, now you can easily walk into any store and purchase just about any movie there is.I like the size of the console it is not too big to take anywhere. As far as games go the graphics are excelent for a hand held.
Pros: I liked the sony psp.
I own one and I can take it any where and play games for hours.
Cons: Baterry power is one thing I didnt like. You should be able to play for 50 straight hours.

Review: We got my son a PSP for Christmas and he loves it! He uses it to play games, watch movies, listen to MP3, and more. The only two things I have heard him complain about are the facts that the built-in speakers don't get loud enough (we bought him another set of speakers to watch movies with) and the fact that the screen can be easily scratched. This is really a great portable game (and more!) system!
Pros: Awesome graphics
Affordable movies on UMD
Supports MP3s
Cons: Sound quality is not so great
Screen is easily scratched

Review: This is a gift I got last year.
At first, I had one game so I never used it, but now I love it!
I buy 100 of games for it.
But, if sony produces a better memory card, or battery, this isn't all too great.
Battery Life is eatten up in about 2 hours with a UMD Movie.
Pros: Good screen. 5 times as large as an Video Ipod.
Excellent sound quality.
Great game titles, and UMD Movie titles.
Cons: In sticks out your pocket, and can easily fall out.
Battery Life can be very short.
Wireless connects can fail alot.

Cons: The battery could last longer and the web browser could be enabled.

Review: The PSP is the Cadalliac of portable gaming systems. It clearly surpasses Nintendo's systems in terms of quality, graphics and control.
This is one of the most versitaile systems on the market. It does everything but balance your checkbook. It can watch specially formated UMD videos. While they are a tad expensive ($15.95 - $29.95!!!), the picture and sound quality is excellent and you get alot of bang for your buck. The PSP can also be hooked up to your computer so that you can upload video, music and photos. While these features are mearly novelties, they are cool to have and really add to the whole package. Sony has also just realeased an update that lets you browse the web from WiFi hotspots and customise your PSP wallpaper.
But enough about that, let's talk about what really matters... the games! While Sony hasn't exactly dazzled their audience with original games, there are a few excellent ports of console games, with some extra features added. These will keep the PSP owner satisfied untill better games come out. And that's not to say that the games that are currently out are bad... they're definately not! Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix is BETTER on the PSP, as well as some excellent sports titles from 989 Sports, such as Gretskey NHL and MLB.
In short, PSP's features and expanding game library are well worth your money!
Pros: Bright, beautiful screen, multiple features, watches movies, plays games at PS2 quality, analog control, internet browser, support for viewing pictures.
Cons: Uncomfortable to hold, expensive, small game library.

Review: I highly recommend this over the Nintendo DS or any other portable gaming device on the market. Truly is the best portable gaming device in the world. The graphics are PS2 quality and I think you should buy this.
Pros: The screen is simply amazing. The first thing you notice is how amazing the screen looks. It is very easy to use and is very versatile. Also plays MP3s.
Cons: There is not a "platform game" out for the psp yet, however there are many games comnig out in the fall 2005 that look promising. Accessories and memory sticks can be pricey. Other than that there are no cons.

Review: The PSP Sony's answer to the Gameboy although it boasts many functions, currently gaming is not one of them. Not too many good games are out right now, but I'll guess everyone is waiting for GTA: Liberty City. The UMD movies cost from $15-20 to expensive for a movie on the go when I can buy a portable dvd player for cheaper. But if you got the money the PSP is the way to go.
Pros: Good picture quality and sound, functions as an mp3 or video player.
Cons: Not too many good games out right now and UMD movies are to expensive.

Review: I can't say enough about the new Sony PSP. I got mine 2 weeks after it was released and have to say I havn't looked back since. It's a multimedia system in itself. You can upgrade to larger memory sticks and convert AVI's and MPG's to the disk and play them later on the PSP. The load times aren't bad and the gameplay is unreal. The color screen is a record setter when it comes to graphics on a handheld. The price might be high but it's worth every penny and more!
Pros: Mp3 Player
Movie Player
Wireless Connectivity
Large Color Screen
Nice Control Layout
Crystal Clear Screen
Cons: Price of UMD movies and games.

Review: My PSP is great. I bought it used, that way it was only $200 at gamestop. I have no idea why the last person who owned it sold it, it is a great handheld, but I guess their loss is my gain. Much, much better than the DS (I've played my friends quite a few times before I got my PSP). Now he's jealous and wants to get a PSP also. People always complain about dead pixels on them, most of these "dead" pixels are actually just "stuck" pixels however. You can find multiple videos on the internet to download onto your PSP that will apparently unstick these "stuck" pixels. Even if you had a dead pixel, you probably wouldn't notice, as the resolution is so great and thus the pixels are so small. A great Sony product. Also, the future interactions with the Playstation 3 adds great longevity for the PSP.
Pros: Fantastic Screen
An analog stick
The ability to play movies and music.
Cons: Nothing

Review: Its okay I'll give it a B+. Because of the great features and the amazing graphics and gameplay. I give it a B+ bcause of the fact that it is very fragile and since it is made of plastic it is so easy to break and because of that it would seem to be a waist of money beacause it breaks so easily.
Pros: The Playstastion Porables graphics are amazing. The gameplay is genius.
Cons: The PSP is very fragile and easy to break. My brother droped it once and it seemed ok, but then it eventually stopped during gameplay and then would continue eventually. Later it would stop and not continue, it became very very slow loading and saving things. Now it doesn't work at all. I got it for my birthday, but now my parents won't get me a new one and they say its not my brothers fault. I'll never have a PSP ever again.

Review: This is definately one of the greatest handheld video game systems to come out in a long time. This hand held device pretty much goes everywhere with me. First off it's got top notch games with amazing graphics which rival most consoles. Add to that the ability to play store bought movies, it's a keeper. But as if that wasnt enough, through a simple usb cord, it can connect to any computer and you can transfer photos, MP3s, and your own movies and television shows which can be gotten from anywhere (dvds, tivo, downloads) This little all-in-one gem's price can get a little steep, especially when you add a 1gb memory card, but it can do so much you wont need your other 'gadgets'. This was a long time in the coming, and was done right. Every other hand-held gaming system pales in comparison.
Pros: Does it all in one small package. MP3s, Games, Movies, internet, multiplayer, photos.
I cant remember a better handheld system since the SEGA GameGear. A huge screen with graphics comparable to the PS2's. This is definately worth every penny with its great games and overall standard package.
Pros: It's very nice PlayStation.Amazing Graphics Huge Screen Great Games Great Price
Cons: Slightly bulky Sun Glare may distort outdoor play Screen will scratch relatively easily if not protected

Review: Very sleek. Sony definatly made a good move with the PSP. I remember the old days of Gameboy, and Gameboy color and i never imagined hand-held gaming would get this extreme. PSP is worth the money for sure.
Pros: graphics are good, and the system has some great titles.
Cons: price, some bugs need to be worked out

Review: This hand held device pretty much goes everywhere with me.
Cons: Price is kinda high, but worth it.

Review: Like I said, there is no system that beats this, except for in graphics. You can hook this up ot your pc, playstation 2, or any other type of media outlet!
Pros: This thing has everything...
Excluding all the hidden system tweaks you can use on it.. Watch videos, play games, lok at pictures, and even listen to music
Cons: Very Breakable... You have ot be super careful with it.
Also, the dead pixels will sometimes show up... but dont worry there normal!

Review: I worked hard to get the PSP and it's been worth every cent that I spent.
I'm so glad that I bought this over the Nintendo DS.
Having the PSP means that I won't need to buy a portable DVD player, an Ipod or any other portable gaming device.
The only thing thats sucked so far was that it's got some dead pixels on the screen.
I'm still impressed by it though, and I can't wait to see the PS3
Pros: Better than the DS
Can watch movies
Listen to music
Play games
Cons: EXPENSIVE
Dead pixels

Review: We were struck by the PSP’s remarkable similarity to the Sony HMP-A1 portable video player in terms of design. The PSP uses the same high gloss, smudge-prone case featuring a black and silver color scheme. The unit itself is slightly too big for the average pants pocket, but fits nicely in a suit coat’s inner pocket. The PSP uses Sony’s proprietary media format called the Universal Media Disc (UMD), which are inserted into a spring loaded compartment in the back of the unit. This might be annoying for case makers who want users to be able to play while in their case, while still being able to swap out games. The left side hides a Memory Stick Duo Pro slot, and a switch for turning the WLAN on or off manually. The Memory Stick Duo slot will accept the older MemoryStick Duos in addition to the new Pros, and it should be noted that any Duo can be converted into a regular Memory Stick by using an available Sony adapter. The top edge of the PSP has a USB mini port for PC connectivity. The power button is along the lower right side, and can be set to a ‘Hold’ position to deactivate the buttons when watching movies or listening to music. The in-line remote on the headphones will still function if the PSP is in Hold mode. The interesting thing is that all buttons on the surrounding edge are solely hardware focused.
Pros: Easy to use
Looks nice
Cons: Expensive

Review: This is , overall, a great handheld game unit . The graohics are superior, and the flat screen is movie quality .
The system would be improved by adding a hinged top as standard for better portability and safety in not scratching the scree.
I have had some difficulty finding many games for the unit - although the movies are plentiful on the shelves .
I think the unit if a little overpriced compared the the Nintendo DS, but it is a better quality.
Pros: excellent graphics, nice flat screen, decent size screen compared to other handhelds.
Cons: expensive , shortage of games at this point, screen looks very fragile and susceptible to scratches - a hinged top would be much nicer.

Review: As previously mentioned, the PSP will have a 4.3-inch 16:9 widescreen TFT LCD screen, which displays 16.77 million colors on a 480x272-pixel high-resolution screen. While no games were actually shown on the device, Hirai did demonstrate its graphics capabilities by playing two video selections on a mounted unit. The trailer for Spider-Man 2 and a clip from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children looked crisp and realistic, as though they were played on a small HDTV. On the audio side, the PSP will feature built-in stereo speakers in addition to a headphone jack.
Unlike the flat iPod-like controls of the PSP mockup that went public last fall, the PSP will have raised buttons, laid out in the traditional Sony configuration. It will have all the buttons of the original PlayStation, including the directional buttons (up, down, right, left), the enter keys (triangle, circle, cross, square), left and right triggers, and the ever-popular start, select, and home buttons.
Double-click the video window for a full-screen view. The PSP will feature an array of connectivity options. It will support USB 2.0 for wired connections to the PlayStation 2 and PC and will employ 802.11b wireless LAN to connect to other PSPs and wireless devices. New software and data can be downloaded from the PSP to a Memory Stick Pro Duo. It will also allow for IR Remote (SIRCS) and IrDA infared connections.
Inside the PSP, the device will have a 333MHz PSP CPU proprietary to Sony. It will have 32MB of main memory and 4MB of embedded DRAM. Its built-in lithium-ion battery will have a life of 2.5 hours with video and 10 hours if used for audio playback only. For media, the PSP will use Sony's new Universal Media Disc (UMD), which can hold up to 1.8GB of data, three times that of a conventional CD-ROM.
Demonstrating its dedication to add-ons, Sony is planning a wide range of PSP peripherals, including a stand, an IR remote controller, an external battery pack, a strap, a carry case, and special PSP-branded headphones.
PSP is scheduled for a holiday 2004 launch in Japan, followed by US and European launches in early 2005. As part of its plan to sell 3 million units during the PSP's first year, Hirai said Sony plans to go after the traditional game market of 18- to 35-year-olds for early adoption. The company's number-two market will be the "emerging and varied" teen market.
Pros: everything is great about it
Cons: none
