Review: This Rio works fine. It's good for workouts, and it comes with a arm band for running. Unfortunately, it's not as cute as an iPod nano.
Pros: small, durable
Cons: not as cute as an iPod

Review: This is the first MP3 player I have ever bought and I did a little research on it before buying. Since many sites rated it highest as a workout player, I took a chance on it despite the bad user reviews. I am glad I did. I upgraded the firmware right away and have had no problems with it in the two months I have owned it.
The Rio Music Manager software works great for me since I prefer leaving it on random than creating playlists. And despite what some reviews have said, it does let you choose if you want to save it to the internal or external memory. Have expanded the memory with a 512 MB Secure Digital card and now have over 12 hours of music on my player.
I really like the extra features on it like the stopwatch and the FM tuner, though the tuner reception can be iffy outside. The headphones double as the antenna, so a different pair may help this issue.
Pros: Expandable memory, good volume, easy to use
Cons: So-so FM reception, firmware must be upgraded, volume control only when in stopwatch mode
