Review: Overall an awesome camera. Handles very well, offers multiple formats to record in, and variable frame rates. Great Lecia Lens. This camera can handle all my jobs from "yesterday", and still have the ability to take my jobs into "tomorrow"
Pros: variable frame rate
DV, DVCPRO25, DVCPRO50, DVCPROHD
4:3/16:9
Lecia Lens
great cinema quality
Cons: can only record HD to the P2 cards and they are still a bit pricy.

Review: We purchased 3 of these to replace our aging fleet of DSR300s. The freedom to choose formats and frame rates has really opened up creative possibilities. The similiarity to the DVX100 has helped ease the transitions somewhat, but the end-to-end workflow takes some getting use to.
The good image quality (obviously not up to Varicam or F900 standards) has really impressed our clients. As one of our producers (who had to shoot an emergency interview by himself) said: "This camera makes me look like a hero!"
These cameras are really going to increase my bottom line.
Pros: Multi-format
Form factor similiar to DVX100
P2 workflow is great (once you get use to it)
Good image quality
Multiple frame rates for true slow-motion
Cons: Expensive P2 cards
Steep workflow learning curve
