Review: I have used seven D-SLR's so far, and the D200 is the best of them all for the money.. Nikon also has the D2Xs which is somewhat better but cost three times as much for the same image quality.. Nikon will introduce the D3 at some point soon, and it should be very exciting...
Pros: excellent build quality..
excellent image quality..
easy to use and loaded with important features, best D-SLR available for its price..
Cons: none

Review: Despite some minuses, especially temporary ones like the current shortage of extra batteries, this is an awesome machine for ANY price category and especially its market slot. The relatively inexpensive but hard-to-find 18-200mm kit lens could make this camera almost a 1-lens instrument. Unfortunately, this lens, like its 18-70mm alternative (with which I am stuck for the present), is a bit plasticky and IMHO not suitable for heavy field work. I am comparing it to the breech-lock-mount lenses for my 30-year-old Canon F-1N SLR, with which you can pound nails. But in the smarts, the D200 is the clear winner.
I understand a new Nikon DSLR with the same 10.2 MP sensor but at much lower price is about to be unveiled. It will undoubtedly please the users that need compactness and portability. But for anyone interested in serious field work, I would opt for the D200.
Pros: Fast and accurate exposure, focusing and shutter response. Gorgeous viewfinder image. Great sharpness and color accuracy.
Cons: Very heavy, a problem for some users. Kit lens (18-70mm)quality so-so for a camera of this quality level. Complicated, requiring steep learning curve. Unavailability of unique, single-sourced battery inexcusable.

Review: I replaced my D1x with this. In moving"down" from a professional model, I increased resolution, decreased weight, and maintained all the features I love about the D1x. This new model, unlike the D100, has the buid quality of the professional D series at a much lower cost.
Pros: Build quality, image quality, speed, LCD
Cons: None

Review: I take a lot of wildlife photos and have several cameras. This camera is as good or better than my highest quality 35mms. Easy to use and has all the needed features.
Pros: Fast with great quality. Outstanding hardware with pro quality features.
Cons: The Users Guide is a piece of undersized, difficult to read, junk. Not up to Nikon standards.

Review: super camera. Perfect for a Crime Scene Investigator that is starting out or been in the field for 10 years or more.
Though film is still preferred for high details photography, this one is very close.
Pros: hi megipixel abilities
Cons: name brand makes it more costly

Review: The SLR has a newly-developed 10.2-megapixel CCD that captures images at resolutions up to 3,872-x-2,592. It uses the same image processing as the D2x, and has an optical low pass filter is to prevent moire, colour fringing and shifting, according to Nikon. Up to 37 JPEG or 22 RAW images can be captured at up to 5fps in continuous shooting mode, and the camera supports ISO settings from 100-1600.
Pros: good d200 10.2-megapixel
Cons: The D200 uses an 11-area autofocus
